Outside of Cohen, the Bears’ pass catchers were average at best. Allen Robinson II did have five catches for 79 yards, which included a spectacular catch over the head of a Giants defender and another amazing toe-tapping grab on the sideline. Tight end Adam Shaheen’s first catch of the season was for a touchdown, while fellow tight end Trey Burton was targeted just once the entire game with zero catches. Rookie Anthony Miller caught the game-tying touchdown with no time remaining in regulation. Taylor Gabriel had seven balls thrown his way, but managed to haul in just three of them for 17 yards. Gabriel also lost a costly fumble late in the fourth quarter, which resulted in the Giants capturing a 10-point lead. An illegal shift by Josh Bellamy negated a first down on Chicago’s second drive of the game.
