The Los Angelas Rams offense is known as the best offense in the NFL. Do the Chicago Bears have what it takes to matchup with them?

We all know how impressive the Los Angelas Rams offense has been this season. However, by that same token, it could be argued that the Chicago Bears defense has been equally impressive. In fact, when looking at adjusted net yards per attempt, the two are almost equal.

The Chicago Bears are 941 yards above average on defense while the Rams are 966 yards above average on offense. The next closest defense is about 400 yards behind the Rams offense. There has not been a huge disparity between the two units.

Of course, with everyone having seen the Rams offense over the course of last season and into this year, that is the unit that they trust the most. However, it is worth wondering if the Chicago Bears are the perfect test for the Rams.

What has made the Rams offense so impressive is that they run out the same personnel. They run 11 personnel, which is three wide receivers, one running back and one tight end 98% of the time. League average is 73% and the the next highest team is 84%.

While they keep the same players on the field, they shuffle them around and branch different plays off of each other. That is why they have a 51% success rate out of that personnel, which also ranks seventh in the NFL.

Fortunately for the Bears, their opponents just so happened to have tested them out of this look more than any other team in the NFL. They have faced 11 personnel 84% of the time which is the highest rate in the league.

They allow a 44% success rate which is third in the NFL from this look and allow just 37% of passes to be successful which leads the NFL.

The Los Angelas Rams are high and mighty on offense but while everyone is thinking that the Chicago Bears will see a real test in this offense, the Rams are going to see a real test in the Chicago Bears defense for the first time as well.
