5. Conclusion And Score Prediction

In what is the Bears most important game of this season, a win means the Bears likely have homefield advantage locked up for the playoffs. However, if the Bears lose, then there’s a chance we see the Bears play a playoff game on the road. As explosive as the Rams offense is, the New Orleans Saints provided a formula to shut them down. The Saints shutdown the Rams running game, forcing Los Angeles to throw the ball more. The Bears will need to do the same. The goal is to shutdown Todd Gurley, while the Bears defense gives the Bears offense multiple opportunities to score. For the Bears offense, they’ll need to protect Mitchell Trubisky against a ferocious front seven that features Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh. While no game is perfect, there is little margin for error for the Bears. One mistake against the Rams could prove to be costly and be a huge momentum swinger. While both these offenses are explosive, both these defenses are also top-tier units in the NFL, meaning we could either see a high scoring game or a defensive battle where the opposing offense has to earn points. Prediction: Rams 23, Bears 27.
