Fantasy Football: Week 15 Chicago Bears to Start and Sit
By Mark Hespen
The Chicago Bears defense put on a clinic against the high flying Rams offense. Can they stop their arch nemesis Aaron Rodgers? Which Bears players will make an impact on your fantasy football team?
It is crunch time in the fantasy football season. Are you in the playoffs? Or maybe you’re trying to avoid the dreaded last place punishment. Here is who you should start, sit, and play at your own risk, I’m your Chicago Bears fantasy expert.
Start
Tarik Cohen: Cohen has been on an absolute role. Against a talented Rams defense Cohen had 69 yards rushing his season high, on only 9 carries his second highest carry total this year. If you have Cohen and are in a league that rewards receptions keep him in your lineup. And he is a threat near the goal line for trick plays. Definitely a PPR RB2 or flex starter.
Allen Robinson: He led the team in yards, receptions and targets against the Rams talented CBs. The Packers has 2 rookies starting at CB with a combined 1 int between them. Robinson is poised for a big day if the offensive line can give Mitchell Trubisky time to throw. Robinson hasn’t scored a touchdown since November 11th against the Lions. I think that changes in a big way on Sunday. Definitely a PPR flex starter.
Defense/Special Teams: This defense is special, and coming off the big SNF win I expect them to carry that emotion over into shutting down their biggest rival. Aaron Rodgers hasn’t thrown an interception in an NFL record 368 strait passes. That streak ends Sunday in Chicago.

Sit
Taylor Gabriel: His struggles continued against the Rams only catching 3 of his 7 targets for 22 yards. Not to mention he hasn’t reached the end zone since the Tampa Bay game on September 30th. Gabriel is capable of going off for your fantasy team, but its not worth the risk. With Trubisky not looking right against the Rams I only trust Cohen, and Robinson threw the air until proven otherwise. Definitely a sit or a high risk PPR flex in deep leagues.
Play’em at your own Risk
Mitchell Trubisky: Trubisky struggled against a talented Rams defense, finishing with only 110 yards, 1td, and 3 ints. The Packers defense is 8th in the NFL only giving up 225 yards per game. Trubisky struggled against the Packers week one. I believe he will play well. But I want to see it first before I trust he has shaken off the rust. Definitely a high risk QB1.
Jordan Howard: Howard was key to beating the Rams rushing for over 100 yards for the first time this season. It was his highest rushing total of the season, his second highest was week 1 against the Packers. Howard can make or break your fantasy week, his ceiling is low, but the Bears must run the football to beat Green Bay. Definitely a RB2 starter in deeper leagues.
The Chicago Bears can clinch their first playoff berth since 2010 with a win at home against the Packers. The weather shouldn’t be too much of a factor in this game. If the defense can get to Rodgers, and Trubisky can shake of the rust I think the Bears run away with this game.
