The Chicago Bears are going to be big fans of the Carolina Panthers tonight

Now that the Chicago Bears have clinched the division it is time to start thinking big with this team. They have the best defense in the NFL, and that can take you a long way once you are in the dance.

With that in mind, all of the sudden seeding has started to matter. Over the last few weeks it had appeared as if the Chicago Bears ceiling was to be the three seed. The Rams and the Saints were rolling on all cylinders and everybody else was just an after thought.

Then came the Chicago Bears. After their beat down of the Los Angelas Rams this team is suddenly vulnerable, losing their second straight to the Eagles on Sunday. Now, the Rams are suddenly within striking distance with just two games to play.

The New Orleans Saints still hold a two game lead against the Chicago Bears. However, they play two games against the Carolina Panthers in the next two weeks. Sandwiched in between that is the Pittsburgh Steelers, fresh off of an impressive defeat of the New England Patriots.

If the Saints lose one division game and to the Steelers the Chicago Bears would take over the drivers seat. The Saints play Week 17 at home against Carolina. The best chance for the Saints to start their downfall would be this week.

All Chicago Bears must be Carolina Panthers fans tonight, and then Pittsburgh Steelers fans the following week. The Rams play the Cardinals but finish with the 49ers who have some life. Panthers. 49ers and Steelers. Crazier things have happened.
