The Bears had to play without their top receiver Allen Robinson II, who was sidelined with a rib injury. Also, rookie Anthony Miller left the game early in the first quarter with a shoulder injury. Taylor Gabriel suffered a shoulder injury of his own, but not before he caught four balls for 61 yards, which included a spectacular diving catch for 40 yards down to the one-yard line that set up a Howard touchdown. Rookie Javon Wims had four receptions for 32 yards, with two of those catches coming on third-down conversions. Tight end Trey Burton had a team-high five catches for 33 yards.
