Mitch Trubisky has been quietly efficient

As the Chicago Bears head to the playoffs, their quarterback seems to be the biggest question on everyones mind. Luckily for them, he is coming off of his best stretch

Mitch Trubisky’s 2018 season has been a roller coaster ride. He has hit peaks and valleys along the way, but his current stretch certainly has him on the upswing heading into the playoffs.

Coming off the first Minnesota Vikings game Trubisky had hit a bit of a low. He threw two interceptions and looked off all game, despite the Chicago Bears winning. He missed the following two games with a shoulder injury before returning against the Los Angelas Rams and putting in another lackluster performance, despite a win.

However, that game appeared to either be a confidence booster or Trubisky shaking off the rust because he has played extremely efficient since then.

Trubisky has completed over 75% of his passes for 7.8 yards per attempt and 215 yards per game. This season Nick Foles has completed 72% of his passes for 7.2 yards per attempt, but over 280 yards per game. He has also have seven touchdowns to go with four interceptions.

Trubisky has three touchdowns and no interceptions and in that span the Bears won two road games, and including ending the season of their two division rivals in the Vikings and Packers.

The other good news for the Bears is that this game comes at home. The Bears are 7-1 this season at home where Trubisky averages 7.6 yards per attempt and has 19 touchdowns.

Trubisky is hot and playing at home where he is comfortable. There is a chance that Trubisky can play well on Sunday if the offensive line gives him time. At the least, the last three games have proven that he has not been turning the football over.
