One of the best matchups of the weekend is going to be Chicago Bears Khalil Mack taking on right tackle Lane Johnson

The Chicago Bears matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles is much anticipated. The Eagles are the defending champions, but the Bears are one of the hottest teams int he NFL.

The game will come down to a few tight matchups, none being bigger than Khalil Mack vs Lane Johnson.

The best pass rusher in the NFL will take on one of the best pass blockers in the NFL on Sunday. Lane Johnson is a highly regarded right tackle who may be having a down year, but has been elite his entire career.

However, on the other side is the elite Khalil Mack who has dominated with his old team.

Johnson has allowed 36 pressures this season, five hits and five sacks allowed. That includes five penalties. Mack has 49 total pressures and that comes from 13 sacks and 7 hits.

What is more interesting to note is that Johnson has really struggled for the Eagles down the stretch. Against the Cowboys, Rams and Texans Johnson posted his lowest PFF grades of the season. He allowed seven hurries in those games.

On the other side Khalil Mack has just been heating up after getting over a midseason ankle issue. He has 19 pressures over the last three weeks.

Mack is likely the superior athlete, and may have the better reputation. On top of that, Mack is playing better ball currently than Lane Johnson. Johnson held up strong against Mack when he played on the Raiders, but there is a lot more to worry about on the Chicago Bears front than just Mack, unlike his days in Oakland.

Look for Mack to get the better of Johnson in this matchup of elite talents.
