Akiem Hicks

It is worth noting that the Philadelphia Eagles ran for 43 yards on 23 attempts. Akiem Hicks was an absolute monster in this game from start to finish. He consistently blew plays up in the backfield and forced runs away from him. Hicks finished the game with four tackles, one for loss.

Between Hicks and Eddie Goldman, the Eagles were not able to run the football up the middle. It forced them to bounce runs outside where Khalil Mack and the linebackers were able to make enough plays.

Eddie Goldman gets an honorable mention as well, but the elite run defense started and finished with Akiem Hicks. Hicks has been cut by multiple teams and has been snubbed for many nominations and considerations for awards due to his position.

Everyone is going to take blame for this loss, but Akiem Hicks deserves credit for the way that he played in the game. He stepped his play up for the postseason.
