Abandoning the Running Game

The Eagles’ run defense can appear to be a challenge to run on. Philadelphia finished the regular season ranked seventh against the ground game. However, the Bears never came close to committing to the running game. Jordan Howard carried the ball only 10 times. Not including Trubisky’s three carries, Chicago’s offense rushed the ball only 15 times.

Considering how well Howard was running the ball in the final few games of the regular season, and having Kyle Long back on the offensive line, one would think that Howard would get a good amount of carries, as well as Tarik Cohen.
