#2-Roquan Smith- (ILB, First Round, No. 8)

This ranking may come as a bit of a surprise for most but Roquan Smith was the second-best rookie for the Bears, and this isn’t a bad thing whatsoever.

Roquan had about as good of a rookie season as you’d expect. 121 total tackles, eight for a loss, five sacks, and one interception. That’s a stat-stuffing season. Roquan’s speed was just as advertised as we saw him go sideline to sideline chasing the fastest receivers and running backs in the game.

Roquan is one of the most diligent workers on the team, a natural leader, but also an observant listener. While he eventually will be the best player out of this class, this season he was the second best value rookie of the 2018 class.

Smith’s growth has been rapid and should only excel as he continues to adjust to the NFL.
