Week 1: Bears 23, Packers 24
Chicago entered halftime with a 17-0 lead, and started the second half going up against an injured Aaron Rodgers who was playing on one leg. Going into the fourth quarter, it seemed as if the Bears were going to escape Lambeau Field with a victory. Unfortunately, Rodgers led the Packers to an unforgettable comeback with three fourth-quarter touchdown passes.
Playing with just one good leg, why didn’t Chicago put much more pressure on a quarterback that couldn’t move out of the pocket? The Bears chose to play it safe with a lead instead of staying aggressive like they did in the first half. More hits on Rodgers might have forced Green Bay to sideline the hobbled Rodgers, therefore potentially preventing a comeback.
Oh, let’s not forget the dropped interception by Kyle Fuller that could’ve iced the game for Chicago as well.
