2. Donald Penn

Donald Penn was once a multi Pro Bowl caliber player. However in 2017, he missed two games, the most he had missed in since his rookie year of 2007. From there his time with Jon Gruden was off to a rocky start. Gruden insisted Penn take a pay cut and move from left to right tackle.

Penn made the move but was hurt four games into his season. Penn was replaced by Brandon Parker, a third-round rookie who was drafted to start across from Kolton Miller, their first-round pick. The progression came faster than expected, but it does not seem as though Gruden will want to go back to his veteran when his young draft pick can keep his spot.

On top of that, the Raiders would save about $5 million by moving on from Penn. Penn already made the move to right tackle. On top of that, he is 36 years old and has a bit of an injury question now.

Penn took a pay cut and changed positions for his team. If one player would come in for one season, help Coward progress and look to get a Super Bowl ring, it could be a player like Penn.
