2. Eric Weddle

There are reports out of Baltimore that the team does not have the cap space to hang onto C.J. Mosley and Eric Weddle. Both may end up out of the Ravens grasp, but there is a real possibility that Weddle could be a free agent.

Some obvious drawbacks would come with signing Eric Weddle, the first being that he is going to be 35 years old. However, there are just as many reasons as to why it would make sense.

If Weddle is released, the Ravens will save about $6.5 million in cap space. However. Weddle still has $1.75 in guarantees from the Ravens no matter what. Weddle has made over $40 million in contracts. There will be a market for him, but he is not going to get as much as Amos, and he is not going to demand it either.

His choice in Baltimore was calculated in that he knew he had a chance to win there. He would see the Bears playmakers and understand that even at the $6.5 million the Ravens saved by cutting him he would come in much cheaper than Adrian Amos.

Weddle would only come around on a one or two year deal, but he has one thing on his mind, and that is winning a ring. Could he be the player that makes it happen in Chicago?
