Tayo Fabuluje, T, Texas Christian, 6th round, 183rd overall

Grade: F

Looking back on the 2015 draft, there weren’t too many 6th and 7th round picks that hit, but there were some. It’s tough to be overly critical of a sixth round pick but there’s no doubt that Pace reached here.

Fabuluje was a project and definitely fit more into the 7th round or even UDFA mode, but without a seventh round pick, Pace chose to take Fabuluje with his sixth round selection. Things never worked out for him in Chicago.

Fabuluje is a mountain of a man and had a really emotional back story that fans fell in love with, but the bottom line is that he just wasn’t ready for the NFL level. He made the team as a rookie and was active for 4 games, but only was on the field for a few snaps.

To make things worse, Fabuluje was suspended for PED use and the Bears set him free after just one season. Since then, he’s been bouncing around the AFL and AAF leagues. He’s currently with the Memphis Express.
