Does Kareem Hunt signing mean Jordan Howard stays?
The Cleveland Browns signed Kareem Hunt, who the Chicago Bears showed interest in. Does this mean that they will keep Jordan Howard now?
The hottest topic for Chicago Bears fans outside of Bryce Callahan vs. Adrian Amos is whether or not the team should go out and sign Kareem Hunt. You can ready my thoughts on the decision here.
With the Cleveland Browns coming out early and making the move to sign Hunt it has changed the Bears part in making any big decisions.
However, their decision with Jordan Howard still lingers. No, they did not sign Hunt, but Howard is still coming off of a bad season after an offseason featured trade leaks immediately following the hiring of Matt Nagy.

One of the bigger counters to signing Hunt was that the team could draft a running back in the middle rounds and find similar production out of a younger, cheaper player who would be tied down on the roster longer.
Matt Nagy helped in finding Hunt, Ryan Pace helped in finding Howard, the two may be able to find a similar player by the time their pick rolls around.
They can also trade Howard for a later, or mid-round pick which obviously could go straight to a running back, or another position of need because they drafted a running back higher.
Nonetheless, the signing of Hunt in Cleveland does not take away from the fact that this is the Chicago Bears best option, as well as the most realistic when putting together the pieces and the idea that Nagy will want to get his hands on his own running back at some point anyways.
