5. Throw Adrian Amos a Going Away Party

This may sound like it’s dripping in sarcasm, but it isn’t. Adrian Amos was great for the Chicago Bears the last four years. The amount of production that the Bears got out of a 5th round pick is tremendous.

Amos is a different cat and definitely seems to have a chip on his shoulder, but he worked hard at his craft and gave it his all every Sunday. Amos has been overrated by PFF and is a bit polarizing among Bears’ fans whether they love him or hate him, but the no one will argue that Amos has been a solid safety for the Bears.

dark. Next. Are Adrian Amos' contract demands too high?

Amos lost his starting job in his third year and had to quietly wait for an injury to Quintin Demps to get another opportunity and take advantage of it and that’s exactly what he did. He should get plenty of credit for how he handled that situation.

Amos doesn’t appear interested in taking a below market contract to stay with Chicago. Amos is going to maximize his free agency, and if he does that, regardless of what his actual market is, the Bears’ won’t be interested in retaining him. The Bears should thank Amos for an excellent four years and wish him well with his new team.
