The Chicago Bears are looking for a running back and Miles Sanders has been connected with them

Whether the Chicago Bears are looking to move on from Jordan Howard or not, they are looking to upgrade the running back room. A name that we have been targetting before the combine is Miles Sanders. You can read our draft profile on him here.

The noise around Sanders and the Bears picked up a bit when Mel Kiper linked the two in his pre-combine call. The noise turned into smoke when the two met at the NFL combine.

According to an interview with Sanders, the meeting went well. The Bears put Sanders on the whiteboard, which is somewhere he thrives.

Miles Sanders is not being hyped as one of the best backs in the NFL draft, but that could lead him to be a diamond in the rough for the Bears to take in the mid to late rounds.

Sanders was the number one running back recruit in high school coming out. However, he spent his first two seasons at Penn State sitting behind Saquon Barkley. Sanders got on the field and produced immediately.

Sanders has the ability to run between the tackles and is bigger than Tarik Cohen. However, he is much more elusive and a better pass catcher than Jordan Howard. He is almost a hybrid of the two.

When it comes to Sanders he could put on some size, and with more experience could be a strong between the tackles runner. However, next season he could be a huge upgrade over Benny Cunningham or Taquan Mizzell, who compliments Cohen and Howard.

Sanders is expected to be around for the Bears pick, he can catch the football, he is elusive and he has the upside of the best back in this class with the ability to bring depth contributions as well.

Keep an eye on Miles Sanders as he makes a lot of sense with the Chicago Bears.
