2. Maxx Williams

Maxx Williams is another first round pick who has not lived up to his draft slot but does have potential. Injuries have been the big issue for Williams, who enters free agency at age 25. However, when Williams has been healthy and on the field, he has been efficient.

Williams has had above average run blocking grades in every year, and put up strong pass blocking grades last season. He has played in over 300 snaps each of the past two seasons.

If there is one thing we know about Matt Nagy it is that he loves tight ends. He has Trey Burton, who can play with the ball in his hands and can be considered a move tight end. Adam Shaheen is a seam stretching pass catcher. Ben Braunecker is currently in the role that Dion Sims had last year.

Williams could come into camp and compete with Braunecker for that role with the potential of upgrading from last season in a big way. Williams is a great low-risk, high-reward buy and fits what Matt Nagy likes to do.
