2. HaHa Clinton-Dix

This has been the most debated signing since being made. It makes sense though, considering the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers swapped out safeties in a round about way. Now, all Bears fans have gone from Pro-Amos to Pro-Clinton-Dix and vice versa.

There are fair arguments on both sides. Amos is the more dependable safety. He is the harder hitter who plays well downhill and has ability in the box, and deep. The Packers have lacked stability in the back end and found it in Amos.

On the other hand, the Bears needed a cheap impact player. They have Eddie Jackson, who makes the second safeties job easier. With Jackson they could not spend on safety in the way Green Bay did on Amos. However, for a bang for their buck, Clinton-Dix has made more plays on the football. Coming at nearly three-times the cost, it is not nearly the dollar for dollar drop off as presented.

Losing Amos is a downgrade. Saving money and adding a playmaker makes it a fair tradeoff.
