Alexander Mattison
We talked about Alexander Mattison for backs that could be taken in round three as well. However, while he is a round three value in my eyes, many are seeing him a bit lower on the spectrum. The other four backs highlighted in the other post are much less likely to be around at 87 than Mattison considering Mattison may be around in the fifth or sixth round.
With that in mind, this is reassurance that if Mattison does fall to round four or five, he is going to be the value pick of the draft.
Trayveon Williams has complimentary upside, Alexander Mattison has the size, power and receiving game ability to be a complete back. He could be an actual upgrade from Jordan Howard in a similar role.
With so many backs going so high it is tough to find one with that type of upside in the middle rounds. Alexander Mattison has the chance to be the bang for your buck running back of the draft.
