Draft Options

This is not a top heavy draft at running back, as there is no Saquon Barkley or Ezekiel Elliott. However, that does not make it a poor running back class. In fact, the different forms and fashions of backs that are coming out this year give the Bears a lot of options, and a lot of potential to see their target fall into their laps.

If they are looking for a bigger back Alexander Mattson, Elijah Holyfield and Benny Snell can pound between the tackles. If they want speed, Travyveon Williams or Justice Hill could do the trick. A pass catcher in James Williams could be added and an explosive bigger back in Dexter Williams has upside as well.

They could even hope for a high upside player such as Darrell Henderson or Miles Sanders. The fact of the matter is that by the end of draft night, we will have an idea of what type of back Matt Nagy values, and how he plans to distribute touches between his three runners.

We can at the very least give him until draft night, right?
