5. Chicago Bears vs Kansas City Chiefs in Week 16

It is going to be hard-pressed to find another game with more storylines oozing out of it than the Bears- Chiefs game.

First, it’s the mentor vs protégé angle with the head coaches of Andy Reid squaring off against Matt Nagy. Nagy started off as a coaching intern under Reid and worked his way all the way up to offensive coordinator over the course of a decade. Reid and Nagy know each other well and it will be a fun match-up to watch.

You also have the angle of Mitch Trubisky vs Pat Mahomes. Nobody is going to claim that Trubisky is a better quarterback than Mahomes, but the NFL narrative has been going since week one last year that the Bears blew it when they passed on Mahomes.

Let’s put the convenient aspect aside that Mahomes was never going second or third overall and basically every draft pundit had Trubisky rated ahead of Mahomes, but for this game, we’ll just enjoy that two first round quarterbacks from the same draft will be squaring off on primetime.

Finally, if all goes well for both teams, the phrase “Super Bowl preview” is going to start getting tossed around prior to this game.

One thing is for sure, if Chiefs- Bears is a Super Bowl preview, no Bears’ fan will be complaining.
