Which 5 players on the Chicago Bears current roster had the best weekend based on the way things fell

The draft is exciting, as fans get to watch players realize their lifelong dreams of getting into the NFL have become complete. It is a great moment for family and friends of each prospect as well.

Of course, there is the other side to it. These players are being drafted to replace other people, who are watching their replacement celebrate in real time. Some players watch the draft with the hopes that their replacement is not called.

With that in mind, who are the players that won the weekend? Who saw their chance to make the roster rise, and whose job just got a little bit easier? These are the five players who walked away from this draft weekend the most excited.

5. Mitch Trubisky

Mitch Trubisky did not maintain job security this weekend, but he is a big winner. Why? Because the team drafted skill players early and often. David Montgomery is a reliable runner to line up behind him and put games away. Kerrith Whyte is a speedster who be a third back and a chess piece that makes life easier for Trubisky.

Riley Ridley is a strong route runner who could get on an NFL field next season, and even UDFA Emanuel Hall is a potential gem. Trubisky walked into the 2019 draft with a healthy core of skill players, and walked away with depth and even more versatile talent.

Not many people had a better weekend than Mitch.
