Eddy Pineiro will most likely be kicking field goals for the Chicago Bears this fall, here are 5 stats to know about him.

The Chicago Bears have been looking (and looking) for a new kicker this off-season. After the mess that was Cody Parkey, the Bears knew they couldn’t waste another potential stellar season on a missed field goal.

Parkey flushed the 2018 season down the toilet, so the Bears want a young, reliable kicker that can be splitting the uprights at Soldier Field for years to come. After the Bears brought in eight kickers at rookie minicamp, all who failed to impress, the Bears quickly tried to fix the situation by trading for Oakland Raiders kicker Eddy Pineiro.

Pineiro was set to be the Raiders kicker last season when a groin injury a few weeks prior to the season starting put him on the IR for the season. With Daniel Carlson entrenched as the Raiders kicker now, Ryan Pace jumped at bringing in Pineiro when he became available.

Will Pineiro be the answer? Here are five statistics that will make you think he most certainly is.
