Chicago Bears: Players Primed for Big 2019 Season
Allen Robinson II
After recovering from a torn ACL, signing Allen Robinson II during the offseason of 2018 was considered a gamble. Fortunately, that gamble seemed to pay off for Robinson and the Bears. Robinson started 12 of the 13 games he played in during 2018, and finished the season leading the team with 754 receiving yards, to go along with four touchdowns.
Being the offense’s No. 1 receiver, and with Trubisky more comfortable with the offensive scheme, Robinson could be in line to be the first Bears receiver to have a 1,000-yard season since Alshon Jeffery accomplished the feat in 2014.
For those who don’t remember, from 2015-16, Robinson had a total of 153 receptions for 2,283 yards and 20 touchdowns while with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Last season’s success is just the tip of the iceberg, and having so many more playmakers around will only open things up even more for Robinson in 2019.
