4. Orange (1935 or is it 2005)

I will be the first to admit that I like the orange color but I do not like these jerseys. The Bears did wear orange jerseys around 1935, but they had navy numbers. I honestly think that would be a better look. The white numbers just seem too plain on the jersey. It resembles the normal navy home jersey just in orange instead.

Like so many throwbacks these days it seems to take parts of old jerseys but try and make them a little bit different to market them. The uniform business is all about making money. They know fans out there want to buy the coolest new uniform and so they are going to tailor that look around trying to make money.

These jerseys I am sure definitely made money but as a look on the field, it could be a lot better. First off by not being orange. Why mess with the navy or white jerseys that are so iconic to the Bears. The ones later on this list at least stay with the normal color scheme.

The bigger question, though, is what are they throwing back to? They are called throwbacks now, but when they wore them in 2005 some called them alternate jerseys. So are they throwing it back to 2005? If so that is not a very long time to wait in order to “bring back” a jersey.

Either way, this is probably a look that the Bears could do without. Like I said earlier, they could make it better by using the navy numbers and making it look more like the jersey in 1935, but the current one looks more like an alternate jersey instead of a throwback.

Overall they kept the classic look of a Bears jersey which is good but the orange is just not a great look. So this jersey lands at the bottom of this list.
