3. The Kicker issue is not resolved yet

As we head towards July it is fair to question whether the Chicago Bears starting kicker in week one is on the roster or not. The competition has been up and down since the release of Cody Parkey with as many as eight kickers in the building, and nine getting a chance to kick for Chicago.

The Bears turned eight into two and added a third from the Oakland Raiders in Eddy Pineiro. This week three turned into two when Chris Blewitt was released.

While Blewitt was the worst of the three, neither of the other two has separated from the pack. In fact, both have also had noted struggles so far this offseason.

Fortunately for Matt Nagy camp ended on a good note and both kickers connected on their last kicks to help the team avoid extra conditioning. There is some positive buzz, but more worries than optimism is the mood surrounding the kicker situation.
