73. Michael Joseph, CB

Last Year: 81

Last year Joseph check in at number 81. However, he stuck around as one of the teams top 63 players as he landed a practice squad spot. So, while some will see the move up as warranted, others will question why it is not even higher.

The fact is that Joseph could certainly still make the practice squad. However, there are players who may not make the practice squad, but also could have a greater impact than Joseph.

Making the practice squad from his standing last season showed signs of progression in training camp. Earning a futures contract speaks to their confidence as well. Still, the team did not hesitate to draft and sign multiple defensive backs this offseason. That does not speak to their confidence in some of the names on the practice squad.

Joseph did not create much buzz in offseason workouts and seems to come into this year more experienced, but in a similar standing on the roster. This is why he saw a rise in his rankings but still has to climb in camp.
