How would you rank the Chicago Bears 90-man roster?

Now that training camp is over there will be little to no roster movement over the next couple of months. That gives us a chance to look back at where the Chicago Bears roster was, and where it is now.

This series will breakdown the top 90 players on the Bears roster. The ranking will include their talent, value and potential impact on the team, relative to only 2019. This post will focus on players starting at 70 and going through 65.

70. Josh Woods,  LB

Last year ranking: 87

Woods sees an even bigger jump than Michael Joseph and John Franklin from last year. Last year he came in at number 87 overall, being a late summer signing who was thrown into the mix late. On top of that, Woods was a safety who ran 4.66 in the 40 and had to moved to inside linebacker.

Impressive enough Josh Woods was able to stick onto the practice squad, although we did rank him the lowest of the group. Still, despite us continuing to put low expectations on him, here he is entering training camp number two.

The jump to 70 is not just due to overcorrecting due to our recent lack of respect. Unlike Joseph and Franklin who stuck around for year two as well, the Bears did not draft at his position. They signed Kevin Pierre-Louis but may lose Nick Kwiatkoski-who is a free agent at the end of next year.

A second season on the practice squad could lead to a real 53-man roster chance in 2020. Perhaps next summer he will see another nearly 20 spot rise.
