57. Alex Bars, OL

Like Emanuel Hall, Bars may be a talent worthy of top 53 consideration, but circumstances see him on the outside. Bars is a familiar name for the coaches in the offensive line room. A UDFA from Notre Dame, Bars not only knows Harry Hiestand, but he played beside Sam Mustipher, who we highlighted earlier.

Bars has been a strong option at both guard and tackle at Notre Dame. However, he ended his last with a torn ACL. That took from a player certain to get drafted to a UDFA, reunited with his old coach.

This may have turned out to be a best-case scenario for Bars, as he can ease back from his injury, which may have him out into training camp or beyond.

However, longterm a starting spot at guard is opening up sooner than later. Kyle Long has serious injury concerns from the past three seasons and is only signed for one more season.

Bars may start the season on the PUP, but by the end of the season, injuries could get Bars onto the active roster with a chance to start moving forward.
