51. Nick Williams, DT

Last Year Ranking: 84

Nick Williams is a player that we disrespected in 2019. We saw him as a veteran who has traveled around the NFL and could not stick on a roster. Such was true. However, in 2019 that changed. With the limited depth and a role as a nose tackle in place, Williams was able to make the 53-man roster.

While he was only active in two games, he did make the roster. Still, as we highlighted, Abdullah Anderson is as close to him as our list suggests.

Williams vs. Anderson will be a training camp battle that is not going to present much flash but is going to present intrigue. Can the young gunner with upside beat out the old technically sound veteran? Does Anderson’s practice squad eligibility give Williams an edge?

Both are bottom of the roster players who will not be needed unless Goldman is hurt, which represents their rankings. Still, it will be a true competition.
