38. Duke Shelley, CB

Duke Shelley was a sixth-round pick but is not a player to sleep on heading into the summer. Shelley played outside at Kansas State, but his physical profile sees him in the slot. On top of that, injuries in his last year at KSU saw him fall well below the national radar. Many did not see him getting drafted.

Ryan Pace scoured and found his man to potentially be the next Bryce Callahan. Of course, Callahan was not even drafted.

Nonetheless, Shelley is an aggressive player with ball instincts and athleticism. His previous tape was better than his most recent play while injured, and it has the Bears thinking they have a gem.

We are slotting him in over Sherrick McManis before camp, and all indications are that the Bears are as well. Now, Shelley will have his sights on Buster Skrine, who is a longterm veteran but is not bulletproof in his standing. Do not sleep on Duke Shelley turning out to be too low on this list.
