23. Mike Davis

Mike Davis was the first running back the Chicago Bears added. Davis was the last sign Bears fans needed to know that Jordan Howard was leaving. The Bears gave Davis more money than Howard, showing that they trust his versatility more.

Davis has been injured more often, but catches more passes and brings more elusiveness to the table than Howard did. With similar power, the team seems to think that a now healthy Davis with limited usage can see a bit of a bigger role while increasing his efficiency.

The Bears added David Montgomery, so obviously this will not all fall on Davis. However, he is close to breaking the top 22 as the Bears have faith in what he can do, and he clearly is going to work with the rookie rather than behind him.

Davis should be worked in enough to have a role no matter what, but a Montgomery injury puts a lot of heavy lifting on his plate.
