21. Bilal Nichols

Last Year: 36

While we have moved into a nickel league, the Bears front three on the defensive line still check in as three of the top 22 performers on the team. Bilal Nichols was excellent as a rookie last season. Coming from Delaware, it was unsure how he would adjust to the NFL. However, he tested athletic at the combine, and jumped right into the NFL as well.

Sure, he was a rotational player, but he made small impacts every week. He consistently beat his man and forced double teams, which led to Akiem Hicks seeing easier matchups.

Nichols is only going to play more as he progresses in the NFL, and slowly is going to turn into a true impact player. He is not quite a top 20 asset yet, but that is coming much sooner than later. Look for another jump for Bilal Nichols this year.
