Who are the nine best players on the Chicago Bears roster entering training camp?

The Chicago Bears have had a long time off between OTAs and training camp which presented a great chance to go through the entire roster and look into the top players heading into the 2019 season.

After starting with number 90 a few weeks ago we have worked all the way down through the top ten players. Yesterday, we looked into Charles Leno who finished 10th on the list.

Today, we look at wide receiver Allen Robinson, who checks in at number nine.

9. Allen Robinson

Last year: No. 3

Robinson being ranked number three last year showed how much he meant to the roster. First was the meaning of his signing. A big-name wide receiver went to Chicago to be the top target for Mitch Trubisky. Robinson chose the Bears.

This helped signify a change in the roster. On top of that, he was a go-to weapon for an unproven quarterback. With that in mind, his drop from three to nine is justified and does not make the number three ranking a mistake from last year.

The fact of the matter is that the Bears added players, and others stepped up. Robinson and Trubisky missed time and worked on getting on the same page. It did not lead to the hot-fire connection out of the shoot.

However, he comes in with a full offseason now after seeing how they work on the field. On top of that, their best work came in the playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles. If they can continue that connection, he will remain just as valuable to this roster as a year before.

While many will point to Riley Ridley as a reason to caution, do not sleep on Robinson taking steps forward to being a longterm threat.
