Who are the top seven players on the Chicago Bears roster?

As we try to fill the dead period between OTAs and training camp, we have been ranking the top 90 players of the Chicago Bears 2019 roster. This list will look specifically at 2019 and will rank each player based on their talent level and potential impact on the current roster.

Charles Leno kicked off the top ten while Allen Robinson came in at number nine. We saw Danny Trevathan at number 8 before getting to our number seven player Cody Whitehair.

No. 7 Cody Whitehair

Last Year: No. 12

Cody Whitehair arguably moved to a less valuable position on the roster. However, he moves up the chart in value on the roster. That is because one thing became clear last season. Cody Whitehair was the best offensive lineman on the roster. It honestly was not close.

He was extremely consistent in both the run and the pass. In fact, his biggest question marks came in his ability to snap the football. Moving him from center to guard took away his biggest weakness and added to his strengths.

Whitehair is an elite offensive lineman. Now that he is at guard he has a chance to become a more league-wide name. He is going to slot in as the starting right guard in a group that has James Daniels ready to start at center for the first time in the NFL and Kyle Long, who cannot stay healthy.

The Bears need consistency from Whitehair, and that is exactly what he brings. This is a key piece to the roster.
