Chicago Bears top players entering 2019: No. 5
Who are the top five players on the Chicago Bears roster?
We have finally worked our way down to number five. Over the past few weeks, we have ranked the Chicago Bears top 90 players and we have slowly gotten to the elite players on the roster.
Remember, these rankings are looking solely into the 2019 value to the team. It will look into their talent level, positional value and potential to make a true impact each Sunday.
The top ten kicked off with Charles Leno, Allen Robinson, Danny Trevathan, Cody Whitehair, and Roquan Smith. With three offensive players, the defense sees their third in the top ten with Kyle Fuller.
No. 5 Kyle Fuller
Fuller takes a small step up from number six last season to number five. Last year Fuller was coming off of a breakout year. However, there were two questions. Could he repeat the production because he had a bad health track record, and he just received a major contract?
Could the money or the inconsistent play catch up to him? Through one season nothing of the sort has been brought up. Fuller was nothing short of elite, and earn an All-Pro honor. To think that this is where Fuller is just a couple of years ago would be shocking.
However, he always had the talent. Now, he is just putting it to good use and giving the Bears a major impact.
The Bears are locked into Fuller and will expect him to once again lead the cornerback group as the top-dog on the outside. Being an elite player league-wide at an important position such as cornerback will get you into the top five on your roster.
The question is, who are the four higher?
