Where does Marvin Hall stand on the Chicago Bears roster?

Marvin Hall is an under the radar wide receiver who signed with the Chicago Bears during a down period of the offseason. Therefore, he did not receive much attention and is likely an unknown for some fans.

However, do not get it mistaken, Hall has a chance to make this roster. Yes, the receiver room is loaded but Hall is fast and has special teams value. He wound up being a replacement option for Taylor Gabriel in Atlanta, could this be the same for Hall in Chicago?

If anything were to occur to Gabriel before the season, yes this would be noteworthy. However, it is tough to say that Hall will make a roster this year with the only intention of keeping him around . for the following season.

If the wide receiver room was not deep, they surely could claim that his deep speed for shot plays and special teams value is enough to make the roster as a 53rd man.

However, when looking at the depth chart Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller join Gabriel as starters. From there, the team had Javon Wims on the roster. While he could be competition for Wims,  additions of Riley Ridley, Emanuel Hall and Cordarelle Patterson make this a packed room.

Hall is right in the mix with some of the lesser names on the roster. However,  that means he is not guaranteed anything, and maybe a camp body as much as he is in their longterm plans.

Considering he did not stick around as a longterm replacement, he is on the roster as a just in case backup, and there is so much depth beyond him, it is tough to say his stock is all that high.
