3. Can Tyler Bray become a backup?

We saw Chase Daniel for a couple of games when Mitch Trubisky went down. The Bears went 1-1 but Daniel struggled, and Bears fans learned first hand that it could certainly get worse than Trubisky.

Daniel has been a backup for his entire career. He was brought in to help Trubisky learn the playbook. Now, Trubisky should know the playbook well. We know the ceiling of Daniel and what he can do as a starter. Can Bray do better?

Bray is younger and cheaper. He knows the playbook equally as well. Is there a chance that he has untapped potential? Potential that at least could amount to a cheaper version of Daniel? It is in the realm of possibility, even if not extremely likely.

Nonetheless, Bray should come in to compete for a backup spot. The Bears will not keep three quarterbacks and he should not act like he is locked into the third quarterback role.

Can Bray show any upside? We will see.
