What are the three biggest questions in the running back room heading into training camp?

The Chicago Bears running backs room has been completely redone. From Jordan Howard all the way through Benny Cunningham, fresh faces emerge in all areas outside of Tarik Cohen.

With all of the fresh faces come a lot of questions about who, what, where, when and how these running backs will be used. It will be easy to find questions to look for in training camp?

1. Is David Montgomery set to be a workhorse?

The Chicago Bears have treated David Montgomery like their first-round pick. Without a pick in the first two rounds, Montgomery is the headliner. He also comes in replacing Jordan Howard, a fan favorite who carried the load in Chicago for three years.

Of course, a part of moving on from Howard was to get Tarik Cohen more chances. They also signed Mike Davis and drafted Kerrith Whyte.

With that in mind, the question with Montgomery is whether he will step in for Howard, or if he is stepping into a new committee?

The biggest difference between Howard and Montgomery is pass-catching ability, and that should be a reason to get him on the field more than Howard was. However, Davis is a competent back, Cohen is dynamic and nothing will be handed to him. Look for signs that Montgomery is winning that job.
