Where does the stock stand on the Chicago Bears UDFA?

Chuck Harris is an unknown player by many reading this. However, by the time camp rolls around he will be considered a sleeper to make the roster. Harris comes in as a UDFA from Buffalo. He is an edge pass rusher, who put up 10.5 sacks in his last two seasons.

However, he is raw to the game and weighs under 240 pounds. Still, there is a lot of upside to his game, and he was intriguing signing. Through OTAs, he has been a UDFA who has stood out to coaches.

Now, he has a chance to prove himself in camp. The good news for Harris is that there is not much competition on the roster. Isaiah Irving is a third-year UDFA, and Kylie Fitts enters year two as a former sixth-round pick.

One of, if not both of these players are currently on the inside looking out. Of course, neither has secured anything yet.

Harris has just as much capital invested into him as these two players and will get a fair shake to beat one of the two out.

The biggest issue with Harris will be putting on size and stepping up his level of competition. However, his speed and physical tendencies also give him an edge if he is competing for special teams snaps.

Harris is likely bound to the practice squad but is not going to go away quite yet. Playing at a wide-open position, and making noise early into the offseason is a great way to become a late summer stud. Keep an eye on Chuck Harris.
