8. vs Los Angeles Chargers – Week 8

The first games on this list could definitely be fun and all have their own plots to them, but this is when the games really start to get fun. The Bears have a tough schedule this year and the fans get to see some teams that are good and haven’t seen a few years. The Chargers have been really good the last two years after they started 0-5 in 2017-18. Phillip Rivers was an MVP candidate and whenever he is playing you know the offense is going to fight. This will not be an easy game, but they may look a little different if Melvin Gordon gets his way and is traded out of LA. He brings a balance to the offense and makes them hard to stop. The Bears defense should be up to the challenge but with Rivers in town, it should be a fun game to watch.

7. vs Dallas – Week 14

This will be the second straight Thursday game for the Bears as they will be coming off their Thanksgiving game with the Lions the week before. Just like the Chargers this game could be completely different if their star running back is not in the fold. Ezekiel Elliot has said he will sit out the year unless he gets a new contract. Will Jerry Jones cough up the money and get the oft-troubled running back on the field. Elliot may have his troubles off the field but he is very good on it. The Cowboys are a completely different team with him playing and it helps take a lot of the pressure off of Dak Prescott who has been very good at times but has gone through stretches of bad play. If he needs to shoulder the load the Cowboys may be in trouble. The Bears defense should give him fits, but if Elliot is playing it will slow them down some. Either way getting the Cowboys in Chicago for a night game should be one of the better Thursday night matchups of the year.

6. @ Green Bay – Week 15

This is how good the set of games are for the Bears that one of the Packers game is just the 6th best game this year. If things go well for the Bears this game could be a battle to see who wins the North or eliminating the Packers from the playoffs. Aaron Rodgers, if healthy, will be looking to help Green Bay regain top dawg status in the North. The only that seems fairly certain about this game is that it will be a cold one. Playing this late in the year sets up a ton of playoff possibilities and who else to solidify your spot then against your hated rival.
