5 Chicago Bears who can build off preseason week one

2. Deon Bush

Deon Bush is going to see the field a ton this preseason. We do not need to see much of Haha Clinton-Dix or Eddie Jackson. Jackson may not see the field in the preseason period.

This should mean at least two more full halves of football for Bush. Bush excelled last week with an interception, a couple of tackles and sound special teams play.

We are moving to an NFL where teams need three safeties, and dime is more prevalent. To have a player you can trust such as Bush is vital to run those defenses and defend hybrid offenses.

Bush is clearly the next man up and has truly progressed in three straight seasons. Another year of progression will have him close to starter caliber, which is right where they need him to be.

Look for Deon Bush to start in preseason week two, play the entire first half, and once again look like one of the best players on that field. He should dominate the preseason.
