The Bears still need a kicker

Last week, Eddy Piniero missed from 48 yards. This week, it was Elliott Fry missing from 47. Both made shorter kicks, but the fact is that neither has earned the trust of the coaching staff.

The Chicago Bears have two games to go, but they do not have a kicker yet. In fact, including extra points, you could consider the kicking battle a draw through this point.

Eddy Piniero is 3-4 with makes from 22, 27, and 41. He missed from 48. Fry is 3-4 with two PAT that is from 20, and a 43 yarder as well. He missed from 47. In terms of net made kicks, Fry is +36 while Piniero is +42. The distances are not off and the production is the same.

Both struggled with their only kick over 45 yards. You can say that one is ahead of the other, but the fact is that neither deserves a vote of confidence to date. The Bears have two more games to hope that one can stand out over the other.
