1. Roquan Smith

This one should be obvious, although it may not be the most obvious. Roquan Smith is a top ten pick. He missed all of training camp, the preseason and even missed starting week 1. However, he put that aside and put together a strong first NFL season.

Now, he enters year two ready to explode. Smith has been in camp, OTAs and even played in the preseason. He picked up a sack on his first drive and was pushed to the bench quickly after.

Smith is accustomed to the NFL and his team and is ready to take a step. The team should rely on him to call plays sooner than later.

Look for him to take a step mentally and physically into being this team’s natural leader. He will lead the team in tackles, call plays and be responsible for making sure the defense does not regress.

Expect nothing but elite play in year two from Smith.
