4. 2018 Duds?

Ok, we found a way to sneak two players into this one. Still, this just shows how valuable this game is. Kylie Fitts and Joel Iyiegbuniwe were drafted with speed and athleticism on their side, but both project players.

Year one saw ups and downs, but year two needed to show progress. Neither has shown in this area. Fitts continues to play behind Isaiah Irving and has arguably been outplayed by James Vaughters as well.

Iyiegbuniwe is behind Kevin Pierre-Louis and even saw snaps behind Josh Woods last week. The two were looking inside the roster but have not taken the steps to call either a lock at this point.

Look for Fitts to start Week 3 in an attempt to get on the roster. For Iggy, he may not even start with the rest of the starters on the sideline. That shows you where he stands. He may play into the second half of this game.

Special teams will be the key for both players. Still, making an impact play and standing out with an extended look is what preseason is all about and what these two need to do.
