1. Eddie Goldman

With Akiem Hicks and Khalil Mack, Eddie Goldman joins Bilal Nichols as an underrated piece of the Chicago Bears. Goldman is the nose tackle, and with that does not have a glorious job. He spends most of his days taking on double teams and stepping up to defend the run with power and leverage.

He does not get upfield much, that is what Hicks and Mack stuff stat sheets with. However, life is easy for them because Goldman holds down the line and takes on blocks.

The value of Goldman is added with his ability to add some pass rush. Most nose tackles come off of the field in nickel situations. Goldman played the majority of nickel snaps last season, making him one of the most versatile nose tackles in the NFL.

His added pass rush threat is a layer that most at his position do not have. When it comes to the defense there is so much star potential, it is easy to forget about Goldman. However, do not forget that a player such as Goldman makes everything else work.
