Week 2 @ Denver Broncos

The Bears hit the road for the first time when they head to Denver in week 2. The Broncos are coming off a down year and have turned to Joe Flacco to be their savior at least for this year. The Case Keenum experiment lasted just one year before Jon Elway decided that was enough and brought in Flacco.

The problem with that is that Flacco wasn’t very good last year in losing his job to Lamar Jackson in Baltimore. Can Flacco really regain his form and be a better option for the Broncos? It doesn’t look great and if you combine that with the tenacity of the Bears defense and this looks like a big mismatch on paper. The Broncos are going to struggle to score and that will help any pressure on the offense.

The Broncos defense is not bad and Von Miller can be a force, but if the Bears can get Denver’s offense off the field quickly it should put the Bears offense in great field position. That along with the Broncos defense being on the field a lot will help the Bears win this game. They might not need to score a lot of points to win this game and that is always good for the Bears.

The Bears defense completely dominates game and allows the offense to find its groove. This could be a blowout but because it is in Denver it will be closer than it probably needs to be but the Bears win fairly easily.

Prediction – Bears 27, Broncos 10
