Predicting Chicago Bears first four games
By Adam Childs
Week 3 – @ Washington Redskins
A week after playing a team that gave up on Case Keenum, the Bears play a team hoping he is the guy to lead them to the playoffs. The Redskins drafted Dwayne Haskins out of Ohio State in the first round this year, but have decided that Keenum is better prepared to be the starter to start the season.
To be honest, I don’t think it matters who the Redskins trot out against the Bears at quarterback. The offense has struggled the last few years and if the Beras are playing up to their ability they should be able to slow them down no matter who is playing at quarterback. The Redskins scored 20 or fewer points in 11 of their 16 games last year. That is not a recipe for a successful season.
The offense doesn’t look that much more improved coming into this year and that is good news for the Bears. The Bears playing a few teams in a row that have had trouble scoring should help the offense get it going before the rough patch of their schedule hits.
By this time Tribusky should be in the swing of things and if Cohen and Montgomery are being the combo backs they hope they will be this offense could be rolling.
I think the offense will be playing well enough to win this game, but still not hitting on all cylinders. Another road game produces another closer than expected game, but I just don’t see the Redskins having enough to beat the Bears.
The Bears pull away in the fourth quarter as they force the third turnover of the game and score two quick touchdowns. Bears start off 3-0 as they head back home for week four.
